Artist Bio
Andie, a West Texas native, works with a combination of mediums to produce original mixed media artwork and installations inspired by rhythmic patterns found in meandering riverbeds, shifting earth layers, marks of time passage, and topography. She enjoys the creative process of working collaboratively with other artists to add elements of sound, dance, and music into her installations. Input from varied perspectives brings depth and dimension to the projects and also allows her to share in what she truly loves about art, immersing herself in the creative process as it unfolds and evolves.
Andie has taught art in public school and university settings, but finds most joy in teaching art through private and non-profit programs focused on outreach, reform, and therapy for children. Andie’s murals and installations can be found throughout the region at various businesses and private collections. In 2019, Andie completed a large mural installation on both side of the 13th Street alley in Astoria.
