clatsop county high school
virtual art show
may 9 - June 7, 2020
This exhibit is part of Astoria Visual Arts' Miss Bea Johnson Fund for Young Artists, which provides enhanced arts learning for 12-16 students at the Gray Campus, Astoria High School's alternative location, and provides community-based workshops with professional artists and an annual field trip to Portland.
The annual juried show features work by Astoria, Knappa and Warrenton High School students. This year's exhibit was juried by Kristin Shauck, Art Instructor and Gallery Director at Clatsop Community College.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis and schools being closed, a limited number of actual art pieces were received. They are on view at the AVA Center for the Arts through the 10th Street windows.
AVA Executive Director Annie Eskelin composed a slideshow of all pieces accepted into the show.
ALSO IN THE AVA GALLERY: "GROUND LEVEL," an exhibit of works by artists who serve as AVA docents.
